WL1807MOD: WL1807MOD and CC2652R Coexistence

Part Number: WL1807MOD
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CC2652R, CC2530, SIMPLELINK-CC13X2-26X2-SDK

Hi,

I am making a WiFi to ZigBee/BLE gateway using WL1807MOD and CC2652R and wondering how to deal with the coexistence issue between them.

I found a user guide form below link where there is a section describing how to wire between WL1807MOD and CC2530.

https://www.ti.com/lit/ug/swru423a/swru423a.pdf?ts=1608689232696&ref_url=https%253A%252F%252Fwww.google.com%252F

Here's the screen shot showing how to connect two devices. Can those 4 signals be routed to any GPIOs or are there specific GPIOs for the purpose?

Since this is between WL1807MOD and CC2530, is it the same with WL1807MOD and CC2652R?

I also found a app note from below link, from where it says there is no coexistence implementation for Zigbee and Thread on CC26x2 platform, please help to confirm.

  • Hi Evan,

I do not believe that there is currently a Zigbee coexistence mechanism supported on the CC2652, but I have assigned this thread to the Zigbee group so that they can provide their inputs on your question.

Please note that responses will be delayed due to the holidays.

    Regards,
    Michael

  • Hi Evan,

Michael is correct, there is not currently a Zigbee + WiFi Coexistence solution available for SIMPLELINK-CC13X2-26X2-SDK devices.  Although development is planned for 2021 there are no confirmed release dates available.

    Regards,
    Ryan
