WL1837MOD: Power and Modulation

Part Number: WL1837MOD

Dear Sir,

We have integrated WL1837MODGIMOCR in the design and currently the product is going for pre-compliance/certification testing. There are following queries from the test lab:

1. What is the Power Level at which WiFi to be tested

2. What is power level at which BT/BLE to be tested.

3. How to change the modulations between  a/b/g/n for the Wi-Fi.

Pls. refer to the attached screenshot.

Best Regards

 SK Mohanty

  • Hi Suryakanta,

    1. To pass FCC/CE/ISED/JP certification, you must load the WL1837MOD with the latest .INI and wlconf file. For more information see here. Let me know if you have any questions you may find after reading through it. The power levels have been configured via the .INI and FW to pass regulatory requirements. To get a better idea of the power levels, I also recommend you download the certification test reports here.
    2. The same applies for BT.
    3. For certification testing, you can use the WL8 GUI, RTTT. This software application can be used to operate, test, debug, and calibrate the device's radio.
