Limited by 250kbps transmission rate, The Coord's inputting could not beyond 250kbps.But usually, there are 1 Coord with more than 100 Node(Router/EndDevice) in a WPAN.The Coord's data rate should be enhanced.

Can Coord(eg: future 802.15.4 soc with cortex-A core or TI DSP) support more than 2 channel with 1 PANID like Double-Channel Memory or Double-Channel SSD?

If there is only one 802.15.4 transceiver in one Soc, I don't think it is possible to achieve this. However, two 802.15.4 transceiver in one Soc will be high cost and I don't think TI would go for such SoC.

why not try one cortex-A with 2 or 4 CC2520?

More cost means more performance,sometimes a zigbee Gateway will link hundreds zigbee EndDevice,and more than hundreds type of EndDevice's data will be send to Coord.In this Condition,zigbee Gateway will process alot of data,the cost of zigbee Gateway is not important.

Yes, you can user a powerful CPU with 2 or 4 CC2520 to do such implementation. However, I don't hear that TI has plan to implement such Zigbee Stack.
