How to detect the failure of coordinator in mesh network.

In a Zigbee network, coordinator can be turned off after it forms Zigbee network and other routers/end devices still can work without problem. There is no status to show coordinator is off in Zigbee network.

I have another query..
I want to reject the particular router from joining into the network. In sample switch coordinator code where to do this.

                         I don't  want to use black list. If I don't want any node, i need to  reject from the network and it should not be connected with network again.

TI suggests to use black list if you want to reject specific device to join. As I know, there's no alternative.

In case more number of routers are trying to connect with the network means, We have add all the devices addresses in blacklist? .. If the numbers is more it can take more space in memory. How to overcome this.

In my application, I do this in reverse which implements white list. I have a UI to accept device that I want and always ask other devices to leave if user doesn't accept device to join from UI.

Can you elaborate the steps for creating whitelist and how to use it.

When device joins Zigbee network, it will broadcast end node announcement with its IEEE and short addresses. You can listen to end node announcement in your application and keep a list of joined device to show on your UI. User can select those device that he wants to keep and your application can send leave requests to those that are not selected by user.

I don't know how to select the devices. I am using z-tool, how to select the devices from that

ZTool doesn't have such UI. You have to implement what I suggest by yourself.

I am trying to use ZDO_MGMT_LEAVE_REQ to remove the router from the network. But it is not removing the router, instead of that I am getting error..

Try to define MT_ZDO_MGMT in your project compile options.

This I have tried. I am getting success message but the router remains in the network. The router should leave from the network permanently...

I suggest you to use Ubiqua Packet Analyzer to check what happens.

Nothing happening with ubiqua protocol analyser. Any other way to remove the device from the network?

If the leave command is sent correctly, you should see it on Ubiqua Packet Analyzer.

Sent "NLME_LEAVE_REQUEST" and also "ZDO_MGMT_LEAVE_REQ" from z-tool and checked in Ubiqua protocol Analyzer but nothing happening in that. I don't know the actual issue.

Can you show me how you send ZDO_MGMT_LEAVE_REQ?

I see you set rejoin to 1 which mean device would join back. Please set rejoin flag to 0 and test again.

Tested by setting rejoin flag as 0. but the same thing is happening ..

I think you don't define MT_ZDO_MGMT on your device so it responds ZDP_NOT_SUPPORTED.

If I have not define MT_ZDO_MGMT in options, then it gives the following error.

This is the sender side. I mean you need to add define on the device you want to ask to leave.

Router side also defined MT_ZDO_MGMT and compiled. Then I am getting the following response,

I suggest you to use Ubiqua Packet Analyzer to check it and attach the log.

I need to block one coordinator from the zigbee router by using it's MAC address. How to do this?

Can you attach cubx file to me? Snapshot is not good enough for me to know what happens.
