Hi Team,

1. If I set POLL RATE to zero for battery powered devices, will it be able to rejoin ZC network without problem?

Hi Walter,

Yes, if the POLL RATE is disabled after the commissioning process, the ZED should still be able to rejoin the ZC network.

Hi Marlyn,

Thanks, currently we are setting POLL RATE to zero in config so it is not after commissioning.

By right, we should set to non-zero first in config then commission. Then, set poll rate to zero.

By the way, we are using sdk 310 zed sample sw code.

What is the problem if we set poll rate to zero before commissioning, then losses connection. It cannot re join back?

I don’t have experience setting poll rate to 0 in this way. I don’t recommend to do so but you can try.

I was under the impression you were using SDK 3.4, my apologies.

For SDK 3.1, if you set the POLL RATE to 0 in SysConfig there should be no problem with the ZED rejoining the network.

We are not using sysconfig but I think we can set poll rate = 0 in zstack config.

If you set POLL RATE to zero in zstack_config.h, the ZED will still be able to rejoin the network.
