CC2652R: Zigbee linux gateway

Hi Hamza,

From where are you getting the LAUNCHXL-CC26X2R1 ZNP firmware?  Failing startup phases 1 & 2 typically indicates communication issues between the host and ZNP.  Please first confirm your ZNP can communicate with Z-Tool on a Windows machine.  You would benefit from ensuring that the BeagleBone Black is attempting to communicate with an enumerating serial port.  Here is another guide that you can reference: http://software-dl.ti.com/simplelink/esd/zigbee_3_0_Linux/1.0.1/exports/Documents/Z-Stack%20Linux%20Gateway%20-%20Quick%20Start%20Guide.html

Im using CC2652R1_GW_ZNP_UART.hex found in Firmware/znp/, the same one that is mentioned in http://dev.ti.com/tirex/content/simplelink_academy_cc13x2_26x2sdk_3_40_02_01/modules/zigbee/zigbee_05_zigbee_linux_gateway/zigbee_05_zigbee_linux_gateway.html

I have tried the other guide but it doesn't seem to work... 
Phase 1 is working but phase 2 is still stuck and the board keep resetting. If the board is resetting doesn't it mean it actually found it?

Hey, 

is there any better solutions to this problem?

I have tried to make it work the same way for the past 2 hours but it is a dead end..It is still stuck in phase 2. 
Would appreciate any help!

Hi, 

I'm currently trying to make it work with reset button because I saw it on that thread you linked. It keeps failing on phase 2, it gets NPI_lnx_arm_server not found every time, and error input/output error. 

Do I need to change devpath in the script? e.g. /dev/ttyUSB2 or something? It is currently /dev/ttyO4.

Have you confirmed that the Zigbee_3_0_Linux_Gateway_1_0_1\source\script\package_builder TARGET_PLATFORM is set to BEAGLEBONE_BLACK?  Are you making sure to etch the Debian Stretch IoT image to a SD card and that you hold down the S2 button on the BeagleBone Black while booting?  I would advise that you download the v9.5 image as this is what was used to previously test the ZIGBEE-LINUX-SENSOR-TO-CLOUD solution.  You can follow the Connecting the ZNP to the Host section of the SLA for enumeration tips but may have to reference other Linux Debian resources as well.

Yes, everything looks correct. I have tried with the version you suggested but it is still not working. Failing in phase 2 oever and over.

I do not have any further recommendations since I cannot recreate this issue.  Perhaps you should try erasing and re-programming the LaunchPad while also flashing a new Debian image to the BBB.  What HW version of the BBB are you using and are any other USB devices connected?
