Dears,

My device consists of TI CC2530 with 128KB flash and Freescale I.MX6S.

CC2530 has limited flash capacity to adopt the Z-stack, so I will try to port some open source zigbee stack into Freescale and use CC2530 as MAC/PHY.

My question is that zigbee gateway solution at Linux host provided by TI could be ported to Freescale.

Is it source provided and is it permitted to port to other platform?

Any link or suggestion to implement zigbee gateway at linux will be appreciated.

TI Linux Home GW reference design is dedicated to TI Z-Stack and I don't think it is a easy job to use Freescale ZB stack to replace TI Z-Stack. Why do you want to do this?

Sorry, maybe I misunderstood you. You can sign SLA with TI to get full source code to porting to iMX6S. However, I think you have to use CC2530 with256k flash version.

If you have a 256KB device, you can have the core ZigBee stack running on the 256KB device and have the Home Automation profile or the application running on the external MCU.

Thanks for replies.

The problem is that my device is already produced and running.
Currently the device adopts my own proprietary protocol and communicates with some servers.
My plan is to migrate to Zigbee standards.

I know that CC2530 with 256KB flash is easy and appropriate solution for my purpose,
but I can change only firmware of my device.

I googled and found that open source Zigbee stack is available, but I'm not certain that source code available Zigbee gateway solution exists.
If theres is, it will be a good starting point to port to my device.

If you mean to use ZBOSS, I think 128k flash is still not enough. I also don't see any open source Linux GW using ZBOSS.

Thanks for your reply.

I already inquired about ZBOSS, and confirmed that ZBOSS could run on the Linux.
So, As I already said , I will use CC2530 only as MAC/PHY and ZBOSS can be ported to this environment.

The exact solution with ZBOSS and linux gateway on ZBOSS is more acceptable, but only source code available Linux gateway solution could be better candidate than just developing from scratch.
