understanding ZHA and ZLL.

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CC2538

I need to understand more about zigbee. I was looking for a solution when zigbee found the CC2538. When we talk about Zigbee Pro, we are referring to What? It is a hardware layer? And the ZHA, ZLL, are a software layer? These ZHA and ZLL already has the CC2538? If I have a device that uses ZHA and no more proprietary protocol I can put that chip on a board and communicate with him? And to create a mesh network, I can put these chips in a project and they connect without implementing a mesh network? Where can I find documentation on the ZHA and ZLL protocols?

thank you

  • 1. When talking about Zigbee Pro, it means SW layer.
    2. ZHA and ZLL are SW layer too. ZHA is available for CC2538 but ZLL is not.
    3. Mesh network is native supported by Zigbee. You don't have to do anything. You can form a Zigbee network with coordinator and add some routers and device into the network to mesh network works.
    5. You should get ZHA and ZLL spec from Zigbee alliance.
