CC2530 Serial App

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CC2530

Hi.

I am very new to the CC2530 kit and I was wondering if someone here could help me out. I have an application in which I need to send data over serial -> air -> air -> serial on the other side. I have accomplished this with the serial app and have data going between then two SmartRF05EB boards. Now I have also programmed the SmartRF05BB board as an end device and I have it joining the network, however, since this board has no standard serial port, I took to the task of using the SPI pins to achieve the same task of simply sending data it receives, to air and then air out the serial of the SmartRF05EB.

My question is, does the serial app that I am using (which is the standard one from TI) cover all this? Does it setup the SmartRF05BB as a slave device? I am connecting a PIC (Master) to the BB (Slave). Will the serial app then setup the BB as the slave? And more importantly, once that is done, will the BB transmit this data over air, and will the EB send this data through the serial port on the other side?

If this is not covered in the serial app, could someone perhaps provide some form of assistance since I have zero knowledge on this in actual fact.

Thank you.

PS - I already know which pins to use for the BB when using the SPI.
