End Device cannot receive broadcast message

Hi everyone,

I'm using zstack mesh genericApp for my project. My end device will not receive message from Coordinator from about 20th broadcast message even ZED still poll request to ZC. It's so strange.

If I reset ZED, everything is OK but the problem occurs from 20th broadcast message.

Please check attached file for detail (from No250 the issue happen )

You should use unicast instead of broadcast when you want to send message to ZED.

Thank for your prompt reply,

Unicast only send message to each ZED, right? It's too difficult for my mesh NW because there are about 100 ZED

But what's problem with broadcast message? I cannot use it too much.

It's not about using braodcast too much. It's about ZED using polling to receive messages and ZC or ZR won't keep too many broadcast messages or keep them too long so ZED might miss broadcasting messages.

Yes, I got it. But In this case, ZED doesn't miss broadcast message, It seems that ZED doesn't receive or process received message.

Can you specify which message your ZED doesn't receive or process in your sniffer log?

Please check details as below:

1) Respond from ZED
ZC-> ZED : No 248
ZED-> ZC: No 250
2)
ZC-> ZED : No 257
ZC-> ZED : No 260
ZED->ZC: No 273 ( This is timer 20s in ZED which started when ZED received message No250 )
ZC-> ZED : No 280

Message 257,260,280 will not respond from ZED.

Message 257,260, and 280 are broadcast message and it's normal that ZED might not receive them.

It's strange because ZED received every message from ZC before. It just occurs about 20th broadcast message. If I reset ZED, It's OK

If you insist using broadcast, I can only suggest you to set a breakpoint in afBuildMSGIncoming() to trace/debug it.
