Hi team,

I'm having a bit of trouble with my LAUNCHXL-CC26X2R1. It seems my board won't update, and I get the below error code (Error 6311). I've seen a couple e2e threads on similar error codes, but many of them were diagnosed as potential hardware issues on "homebrew" boards, whereas I'm using a LaunchPad.

Any suggestions? If you require any additional information, please let me know.

Brian,

Can you see if flashing the image with Uniflash or SmartRF Flash Programmer 2 might work?

EDIT: Also try to erase all flash with Uniflash before flashing the image.

Hi Sean,

Thanks for the recommendation. Could you direct me to where I can find the image you're referencing? The IDE tried to do this update automatically, so I'm not sure where it's pulling the image.

Apologies Brian, I misunderstood. I thought you were having issues flashing an application you had built. If you're trying to update the board firmware, you can also try doing it manually by using CCS' xdsdfu program.

Ensure your launchpad is the only LP plugged in.

Navigate to the following directory in a CLI:
C:\ti\ccsv8\ccs_base\common\uscif\xds110

Run the following two commands from that directory:

xdsdfu -m
xdsdfu -f firmware.bin -r

If you download and install Uniflash, can it recognize your LAUNCHXL-CC26X2R1?

Checking on Uniflash, following up on the above...

The cli commands look like they took ok, but result is still the same.

The RED LED does not look healthy. I'm not able to connect over serial terminal. Do the board jumpers look correct?

From the screenshots you've posted above, it looks like you were able to successfully flash the board and it is in a debugging session just fine? The red LED being lit up indicates that the debugger is running
