Dear team,
Is there any ready-made hardware/software-solution for using the TCP socket connection of Z-Tool?
Please help to check it.
Hi Susan,
There are none I know of specifically, can you please further describe your customer's requirements?
Regards,
Ryan
Ryan Brown1 can you elaborate what purpose or use case of "Socket Devices" tab in Z-tool->Tools->Settings is?
I'm honestly not sure YK, I've never used this feature before. The description from the Help contents is that one can enter the server name (ex. localhost) and port number (ex. 10441) to connect to a device via socket connection. If the Auto Scan option is selected in Socket Device tab then all socket connections are added to the list.
Regards,
Ryan
Ryan Brown1 Can you check with tool team to get details about how to use this socket device feature?
Hi YK,
Z-Tool has not been updated for several years and the Tools Team was not able to provide any further information regarding the operation of this feature. I would not recommend depending on its use for your design. What is your specific application need?
Regards,
Ryan
Ryan Brown1 I just read this post asking about how to use socket connection in ZTOOL and I had seen similar item in Ztool so I curious about what it’s purpose and how to use it. I ask this out of curiosity.
Ryan Brown1 If TI tool team doesn't know what it’s purpose and how to use it, I would suggest you to remove it from ZTool to avoid misleading.
