LP-CC2652RB: Need more instruction about ZNP

Dear Ryan,

Thanks for your support. I'm not clear something, please help me :

1. I found out how to use  ZIGBEE-LINUX-SENSOR-TO-CLOUD to run example on BeagleBone Black hardware from instrucion TI Z-Stack - Zigbee Linux Gateway Project Zero, but I can not understand how this source work and where I need modify when using SPI protocol, so could you please sent me more document about this example ?

2. Should I use the  ZNP source to study ZNP System ? Do you have more document about modules in this source ? I can not understand clearly how can I change UART protocol to SPI protocol.

3. We have plan flashing CC2652RB FW by Host MCU (as mtk), where can I look for HW & SW instructions ?

For flashing fw into CC2652RB, I found out SBL API support & Example project are using UART protocol, so can SBL API work on SPI protocol ? If yes, Do SPI commands and work flow same UART protocol ?

Do you know how can I fix this, I guest this error happen because Beaglebone board can not communicate with CC2652RB.

I suggest you to use protocol analyzer or scope to check SPI signals first.

I din't change anything yet, still use UART protocol as default. 

Do you use LP-CC2652RB? or custom CC2652RB board?

I'm using LP-CC2652RB

If you connect your LP-CC2652RB to desktop and start ZTool, can Ztool recognize LP-CC2652RB running ZNP?

ZTool can not detect LP-CC2652RB with CC2652R1LP_GW_ZNP_UART.hex fw. But when I build this ZNP source and flash into LP-CC2652RB by CCS IDE, ZTool detected, send and receive data success.

What Debian version are you running and do you get any errors when performing setup.sh?

I replied late, sorry about that.

I use command ls /dev/tty* and found out Beaglebone detected 2 tty port : ttyACM0 & ttyACM1, I tried edit NPI_Gateway.cfg file to use each port but still got same issue.

I used last Beaglebone release image.

When I run setup.sh script, I got some error, but setup reported success. I will send you log later.

I already follow TI Z-Stack - Zigbee Linux Gateway Project Zero  instruct and got above issue.

You should use ttyACM0 and baudrate 115200.

I already config NPI_Gateway.cfg to use ttyACM0 & baudrate 115200.

Can you attach your NPI_Gateway.cfg for me to check?

I testing on other BeagleBone Black board, I will update new status later.

I update new status after changing new BeagleBone board :

1. When run setup.sh script, some error message was display. Please check file /cfs-file/__key/communityserver-discussions-components-files/158/Setup.log for detail.

2. When run start_gateway.sh. Maybe BeagleBone can communicate with PA_CC2652RB, but some error happed as below :

It seems that your LP-CC2652RB ZNP doesn't work properly. I attach my znp_CC2652RB_LAUNCHXL_tirtos_ccs.hex which works with my BBB for your reference.

I will try on BeagleBone Black board and update status later.

Next step, I will try add device into network, but I don't know how. I already follow instruction and flashed "zed_light_CC26X2R1_LAUNCHXL_tirtos_ccs.hex" into other LP-CC2652RB. Do I need edit as instruction below ?

GATEWAY MANAGER SERVER

The Gateway Manager Server contains a Gateway Endpoint Configuration file named gateway_config.tlg that allows a user to define endpoints and clusters on the Gateway device itself. Other devices can then potentially bind to the end points to this Gateway device, and also send it commands that the end-user application then receives.

For example, an "ON/OFF/TOGGLE Light" endpoint may be defined in the gateway_config.tlg file as follows:

1. "zed_light_CC26X2R1_LAUNCHXL_tirtos_ccs.hex" is not for LP-CC2652RB. You should build CC2652RB_LAUNCHXL examples for LP-CC2652RB.

2. gateway_config.tlg is only for Z-Stack Linux GW reference design and there is no need to modify this on zed_light example.

I still can not add zed light device.

Make sure your gw and device use the same channel first and it's better to setup sniffer to check what exactly happens over the air.

zigbee channel is between 11 and 26. It's just an UI abstraction.

I mean after follow your instruction to change ZED channel from 0 to 13. Zed device only change to channel 13 onetime, I tried re-flash & re-config channel again follow same step but channel always show "0", not "13.

The revised channel mask is not stored into NV flash so it won’t keep after you restart or reset device.
