CC2538: is it possibe to debug zstack using EWARM

HI team ,

We are currently developing a system which using ZED(CC2650) and ZC(CC2538) developed on ZSTACK 1.2.2HA

is it possible to debug zstack using EWARM ? if it is possible could you show the correct method

because after downloading the software , error occurred when we hit start debug .

if it is not possible to debug, is there any method to see the zstack condition by using shared memory etc ?

any help will be appreciated,

Yes, it's no problem to use IAR to debug examples in Z-Stack Home 1.2.2a. You can refer to Z-Stack Home Sample Application User's Guide.pdf in Z-Stack document folder.

Hi dalila,

Please expound on the nature of the error you are observing. Also note the recommended IAR version for Z-Stack HA 1.2.2a is v7.40 whereas for Z-Stack 3.0 it is v8.22 (only applies to the CC2538) and you should use a similar version when debugging your setup.

i refer to the document stated above to debug the program . after downloaded active application , when i tried to download and debug the ZStackCore the following error occured , see attached png file .

You can only debug application not ZStackCore.

Z-Stack core is mostly provided in library and not open for application developer. Why do you need to debug ZStackCore?

Our system currently having a lot of problem . For instance the one posted in thread below

So we thought to solve this problem we need to debug the ZStackCore .

From the thread mentioned above , we thought the root of the problem is because of the missing NWK key but we can not prove our deduction . So that's why we are thinking to debug ZStackCore while reproducing the problem to make sure of our deduction .

It is highly recommended that you migrate away from Z-Stack HA 1.2.2a and choose a product other than the CC2650 for your Zigbee project.
