CC2530: Urgent: Oscillator Problem with 32.768KHz Clock

Part Number: CC2530

Dear Sir,

We are using CC2530 micro controller in our products.

We use a crystal and two capacitors for the oscillator circuit as the source of the auxillary 32.768KHz clock.

Our devices are some very low power wireless sensors that go to sleep mode extensively for power saving.

This auxillary clock is very important in device operation since all sleep timers are working based on it.

Unfortunately, recently significant portion of our products have crystal problems and the clock timings are not correct.

Even in some of them, the oscillator does not work at all.The oscillator circuit is very simple and use a crystal with two paraller

capacitors connected to pins XOSC_Q1 and XOSC_O2. The circuit is the same as the circuit shown in Figure 19 (CC2530 Application Circuit) of

datasheet (document SWRS081B) and the capacitor P/N:C0603C220J4GAC7867  and crystal P/N:ECS-.327-12.5-13FLX-C

This problem potentially could be very costly to us since all of our products use this oscillator circuit.

Do you have any idea of what is the source of this problem? and how we can solve this issue?

As I mentioned, this is a very serious and troublesome issue for us and your quick response is really appreciated.

Regards,
