Hi all,

I would to inquire if I can use the IEEE address / MAC address of my Zigbee End Device to join a network using Z-tool 2.0?

As I know, there is no such capability in Z-tool 2.0.

Hi Marcus,

You can use install codes and the MT API APP_CNF_BDB_ADD_INSTALLCODE to add a pre-configured APS key based on the joining device's IEEE address. This will avoid sending a NWK key over-the-air using the global TCLK, but still requires the network to be open and for the ZED to request association. There is no device silent join or pre-installation available by default. Z-Stack User's Guide.
