CC2650EMK: Situation of radio interference and how to set the strength at which CC2650 emits radio output

Part Number: CC2650EMK
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CC2538, CC2650

I've  Zigbee end devices ( CC2650) developed  based on Z Stack 1.2.2HA  which communicate with coordinator CC2538 .
Coordinator adds the RSSI to the data in my system.

The following graph shows the RSSI data.
There are several times when the RSSI drops from 200 to below 170.
Why is the RSSI going down?

As a countermeasure to lower RSSI, we are considering increasing the radio output of End device.
But the following is not known.
1. How to check setting.
2. How to increase the radio output.

I need help with these things.

Best Regards,
Yuya Murata.

  • Hi Yuya,

The RSSI issues could be a result of Zigbee network communication issues between the coordinator and end devices.  You can either modify the phyTransmitPower from macPibDefaults inside mac_pib.c or use the ZMacSetTransmitPower API from your application to change the TX power.
