I read that the packet sniffer 2 software contains the firmware that enables CC13xx launchpads to be used as capture device. Source: https://dev.ti.com/tirex/explore/node?node=A__AO525QEvDWGf0TPTLk9NqQ__simplelink-devtools__FUz-xrs__LATEST

But I can not figure out which firmware is for the CC1354P10 chip. Here's what I see in the firmware folder.

Hello Balaji Srinivasan,

First locate the firmware files in "C:\Program Files (x86)\Texas Instruments\SmartRF Tools\SmartRF Packet Sniffer 2\sniffer_fw\bin", use UniFlash to flash this to your launchpad.

Once the device has ben flashed with the sniffer_fw then open SmartRF Packet Sniffer 2 and you should be able to detect your device!

Thanks for the response Alex. I now understand that I had the version 2 of the older sniffer software (without the number 2 in the name) installed. Now I have installed the Smart RF Packet Sniffer 2 from https://dr-download.ti.com/secure/design-tools-simulation/calculation-tool/MD-r3ewsc0OIX/1.10.0/SmartRF_Packet_Sniffer2_1.10.0.zip and I still do not see the firmware for the CC1354 in the folder you suggested.

Here's what I see.

Hello Balaji Srinivasan,

I checked the supported device list, and it does not seem like the CC1354P10 is listed, so there is unfortunately no firmware for this device to make it sniff packets with Packet Sniffer 2.

SmartRF Packet Sniffer 2 includes the following components:

PC tool (SmartRF Sniffer Agent) for configuration and communication with the capture device
Firmware that enables CC13xx or CC26xx Launchpads to be used as capture device
