Hi,

Hi Aleo,
ZigBee IP is a powerful stack based on IETF and IEEE defined standards such as 6LoWPAN and IEEE 802.15.4. It will be used for the Smart Energy 2.0 profile, and we have demonstrated some of it's functinality here, including the simple gateway to WiFi/Ethernet which is a key advantage of using an IP-based stack:

The demo uses primarily Stellaris CM3 which is probably a good place to start, but the stack will be supported on a variety of TI chipsets when it's available. As you may know the standardization process is still ongoing and it will be a while before we can make it publically available. Meanwhile you can start with ZigBee PRO on Stellaris + CC2520 and migrate over to ZIP if desired when that is available. ZigBee PRO and IP are very different stacks and will not be interoperable from a network perspective.

Hi Peder,
thanks for your reply. ZigBee IP will support other frequencies then 2.4GHz? 868/915MHz will be supported? And 169/433MHz? Can you suggest me a Sub-GHz transceiver that will be used also for ZigBee IP?
Have you other informations (or links) about this new stack and new profile?
Thanks
Hi Aleo,
The spec of ZigBee IP is still limited in distribution to ZigBee members as far as I know. However, if you're looking for an IP-based stack for our sub-1 GHz devices I would recommend you to look at the CC1180:
