Run out of idea...

i am running the uart echo of cc2650stk.
It prints the sytem printfs and on uart it prints:Echoing characters
When i enter a character ,it doesnt echo back!

Which uart echo example do you run?

i run the uart echo given in resource explorer/software/TI-RTOS for Tivac-v:2.16.00.06/Development Tools/CC2650Sensortag/Driver Examples/Uart examples/Uart Echo

i wanted to test uart so..
which example should i take to test uart?

No tivac. that was a typo eorro. i run ti rtos examples only on CCS. but uart doesnt echo back.
i did xdsdfu -m and xdsdfu firware.bin commands. but still no uart echo output

Actually i think the code is whatever i input it should display right? so if on terminal, ur output should be like yykkcchheenn right? becuse whatever u input must be echoed? right?

No, echo example only output ykchen if you type ykchen into console.

oh ok. so that is working then. but then why udp client server codes are not being outputted ? i have loaded only client side of the code and atleast it should print not reachable as server is not connected. but it shows complete blank on uart.

could u run the same rpl-udp on yours and show me the output. Not the link which u had sent me where u have executed it showing for two launchxl. Please would u try on ur system and if possible a step by step way after u click debug.

not the ccs debugging steps. how do u open th serial terminal or com port?i need those steps for client and server side

when ido on cooja,it outputs app not reachable. How can i make the motes in cooja work as cc2650stk

I just start teraterm and open virtual COM port simulated by XDS110 application to check the UART output of udp examples.

I usually use UART to print debug message and don't use CCS.

When i change debug settings for the first time(project->rightclick->debugconfigurations),it displays info like netwokr,routing etc. But when i just click debug second time,it is again blank.What could be the reason?

No idea. It seems you have lots of trouble using CCS. Why don't you just use UART debug print?

The easiest way is to setup Instant Contiki and build the binary to output debug info on UART.

InstantContiki is an VMWare image and you can use it directly. What's your concern about 32 bits or 64bits?

ok. And when i connect the devpack debugger to sensortag , the reset button of sensortag doesnt work?

As I know, there is no reset button on CC2650STK.

When i run udp client code on one sensortag, it shows app not reachable. How to make the other sensor(server) reachable?

Can you do a screenshot to show me where do you see "it shows app not reachable."

I think that is because you don't have udp server running at the same time.

is this the rpl-udp output expected?

How can i see the serverprintfs. I guess the above are client printfs.

Try to refer to sunmaysky.blogspot.com/.../using-contiki-udp-client-to-send-onoff.html and revise it to use button instead of UART.

But the code in contiki-ng is different from the link u have mentioned above. The rpl-udp code of contiki-ng includes log info statements.Where should i include the uart statements in the contiki-ng/examples/ipv6/rpl-udp..

This is the udp-client code . It is different from the udpclient server code mentioned in the link :sunmaysky.blogspot.com/.../using-contiki-udp-client-to-send-onoff.html

This is about coding and I think you have to do this by yourself.

how can i type ON command on ccs termial window

I suppose you can click on the CCS termial window to focus on it and then you can type into it.

How can i send the ON and OFF command within the script without typing from keyboard . Like,it should be within a loop that sends ON and OFF command at every 3 seconds and the led as per the command should blink on and off.

I suggest you to start a periodic event in your application code to send ON/OFF command.
