CC2652R: How to perform RF test in manufacturing line ?

Hi team,

In manufacturing line, customer might not be able to use JTAG interface. So, SRF Studio cannot be used. Could you instruct how to perform ZigBee mode (802.15.4) RF test via UART interface ? Thank you.

For CC2530, ZNP FW have znpTestRF() API.
For CC1352 SDK, there are EasyLink APIs (rfEasyLinkNP, rfEasyLInkRx, rfEasyLinkTx).
For CC2652 BLE mode, there is PTM for RF test.

For CC2652 ZB mode, how to do RF test via UART ?

There is znpTestRF defined in znp_app.h in CC2652 Z-Stack. I am not sure if it works but you can try it.

Hi Jerry,

We've discussed this externally before regarding how to test IEEE 802.15.4 packets. There is still no plan to support RF testing inside of Z-Stack 3.x.0 for CC13x2/CC26x2 devices. Porting from Z-Stack 3.0.2 is possible but would require in-depth knowledge of MAC radio control.

Would you suggest team to implement EasyLink APIs (rfEasyLinkNP, rfEasyLInkRx, rfEasyLinkTx) ? This might be helpful for customers.

Hi Jerry,

This is doable but you will need to use SmartRF Studio 7 to port the RX and TX radio files from Proprietary RF to IEEE 802.15.4.
