CC2538DK: Way to save the continuous RX plot from SmartRF Studio

Part Number: CC2538DK

Hi Team,

I am posting this on behalf of our customer.

Our customer would like to know if is there a way to save the continuous RX plot from SmartRF Studio?
If saving the plot is not possible, is there a way to simply save the RSSI data in a non-graph form? Like save the packets or the RSSI value another way?

Thanks,

Jonathan

  • Hi Johathan,

I'm not sure if you can save the plot...but I can check and get back to you.

To save the received data to a file (txt) you need to first open a txt file to dump the data to. This can be done by pressing the button on the left of the "Dump data file:" window (see screenshot below). Choose a file name and press open in the dialog box that appears. Now all received data will be dumped to that file as soon as the radio has finished RX.

    Thanks,

    Alexis

  • Hi Alexis,

Thank you for your response and support.

Please let me know if the main question of the customer is possible.
Also, I already shared some of the information you tell me in this thread.

    Regards,

    Jonathan

  • Hey, Alexis!

I've been using this and it works--thank you! However both devices need to be connected to a PC with the SmartRF software in order for this to work. Is there a way to save or obtain the packets or RSSI values to a text file where one or both CC2538 devices are wireless? I need them to be wireless for my testing.

    Thank you!
