CC1352P: What will be the dBm value to get max Tx power using the SYS_SET_TX_POWER request?

Hello Community,

I am working on the CC1352P ZNP device, I would like to maximize the Tx power to get the long range in the zigbee network.

I have read the Z-Stack Monitor and Test API.pdf & able to know that using SYS_SET_TX_POWER we will be able to set the Tx power value in dBm.

But I am not sure what will be the value through which we get the max Tx output power.

Will you please help me to know that?

As I know, the max value is 20 dbm.

Hello YiKai Chen,

I have traced the Zigbee Linux Gateway Application logs and found that,

Application uses the SYS_SET_TX_POWER request set the tx power for the ZNP device.

& Its value is 0x7F.

Will you please help me to know,

1. Is this value will supported by the CC1352P ZNP device to set the max tx power as suggested by you (i.e 20 dbm.)

Really, this value doesn’t make sense to me. Which Z-Stack Linux GW reference design do you get this?

Hello Shiv,

This value does not make sense to me either. It will either return Failure (1), such that no TX power changes are made, or Success (0), in which case I would assume that the highest level (0x14) was perhaps achieved based on the valid power table. You should use the Monitor and Test API in its proper context and verify the output using a spectrum analyzer or other bench test equipment.
