TIDC-CC2650STK-SENSORTAG: Z-Stack_Home_1.2.2a - Over-the-Air Download Firmware (OAD)

and I realized that:

• on the device on which you want to update the firmware, there must be an OTA Client
• on the hosting device, there must be an OTA Server.

My OTA Client is CC2650STK (with Z-Stack_Home_1.2.2a application); is this ready to receive queries from the OTA Server?

Can I use CC2531EMK dongle as OTA Server and use OTAServer PC Tool? If the answer is yes, is it necessary to download a dedicated firmware on this module?

OTA server example code for CC2530 is in: C:\Texas Instruments\Z-Stack Home 1.2.2a.44539\Projects\zstack\OTA\Dongle\CC2530DB

Your answer: You have to add OTA client cluster support for your CC2650STK.Default example in Z-Stack Home 1.2.2a doesn't have this.

It means that the code in SensorTag is already implemented in SensorTag project? is it necessary to enable/define it at the precompiler level?

No, there’s not any OTA related code is inside CC2650  Zigbee SensorTag example. I mean you have to add all OTA related code by yourself.

Where can I get the OTA Client code to be developed for CC2650STK?

You can refer to zed_sw_ota source code in CC26x2SDK to do the porting.
