Bluetooth RF FCC testing cc2560

Hi Sundeep,

Our device doesn't have usb or serial port, thus I can not connect to a PC (in transparent mode).

My project is based of EZ430-RF256x, but it doesn't have PAN1323 chip, we use CC2560 chip. And the BTVS.c file doesn't exist in our bluetopia stack.

Where can I get an example?

Hi,

EZ430-RF256x is connected via USB and you don't require FET cable or need to implement transparent code as the binary is available at path CC256x Bluetooth Hardware Evaluation Tool\v1.0\TI Transparent MSP430 PAN1323ETU\EZ430\Binary.

Make sure that you get the correct SP from http://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php/CC256x_Downloads, and make sure that you change the baud rate to 3Mbps(as you are using CC2560) and disable sleep before starting the download.

What version of  Bluetopia are you using? in V1.4 and V1.4 R1 it is available at MSP430_Experimentor\Bluetopia\btvs\BTVS.c

You can get the latest Bluetopia SDK (V1.4 R1) from http://www.ti.com/tool/stonestreetone-bt-sdk

Now, I have some doubts.

with VS_Enable_FCC_Test_Mode funtion I can generate TM1 until TM9 test cases, but how can I get TM11, TM12, Tm13?

I think with VS_Enable_FCC_Test_Mode I only can configure in 'continous TX' (as it is named in http://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php/CC256x_PC_tool)  but I need 'Packet TX/RX' (TM11, TM12, TM13) and 'continuos RX' (TM15, TM16, TM17) too, I do not know how it can do.

is there any aplication for android or ios to test the bluetooth channels?

You will need a BT tester (CBT, Anritzu, Agilent, etc). See the post http://e2e.ti.com/support/low_power_rf/f/660/t/311144.aspx

As far as I know there are no apps for this.

I have a problem with continuous RX mode (HCI_VS_DRPb_Tester_Con_RX). This function return me -1. I suppose the error is UART_HCI_ERR_NO_BUFFERS_COMMAND.

What is the meaning of this error?, How can I solve it?

I wanto to do continous RX because I need to past FCC certification (http://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php/CC256x_FCC_Certification_Guide) and I have to do TM15 TM16 TM17 bt test cases.

I have checked my code and I have seen an error. Now, the function return 0.
