CC2564: HFP Connection Stalled due to LMP_set_AFH

Hi,

i'm using two system based on STM32F4, CC2564B in order to test HFP. One side is HandsFree Server (called OpenHFServer), the other HF client (called OpenRemoteHandsfreePort).

The problem is that Service Level Connection is not opened due to a connection stall.

Open Port Indication (on the Server Side) and Open Port Confirmation (on the client Side) are received by the SS1 (v 4.0.2.2) stack as events from CC2564B.

By debugging on the client side, i see that there is an LMP_set_AFH message repeated that blocks the connection...

How can I solve this issue?

Hi Paolo,

Could you please provide the logs with both the 'BT Logger 1' and 'HCI/LMP Viewer 1'.

From the HCI/LMP traces in the log attached above, it is hard to say what is causing the issue. I do not believe the LMP_set_AFH messages are causing this. It is something happening after that. The BT Logger traces (captured along with the HCI/LMP Viewer 1) will get us more details.

Hi Paolo,

I did not see any unusual traces in the logs right before or after the last trace. Can you please upload your CC256XB.h file (Can be found under Bluetopia/btpsvend/).

I will try it out and see if I can reproduce this issue. This will help with further debug to find out the root cause.

Hi Paolo,

I am able to connect the two devices including service level connecion between an the HFP server and HFP client using this CC2564B.h. I followed the setup described in the Demo guide : processors.wiki.ti.com/.../CC256x_TI’s_Bluetooth_Stack_Basic_HFGAGDemo_APP

It runs for hours without any problem.

So it appears that this is not a FW layer connection related issue, but rather related to the implementation of the application. Can you please take a look at the demo guide above and compare what is different in your code (regarding HFP profile API calls)?

Hi Vihang,
i checked and I have some questions:

- There could be any limitation in using Coocox CMSIS for STM32F4-Discovery with gcc compiler? If yes, is there any other free IDE that uses GCC for STM32F407G-DISC1? The Issue i reported, could be caused by gcc compiler?
- Did u use FreeRTOS or NoOS version of the demos?

Hi Paolo,

- This could be related to gcc compiler.
- I ran the demo using IAR(ewarm) and uVision(rvmdk). Both NoOS and FreeRTOS. I do not see any issue. If you have access to one of these 2 IDEs, please see if this is reproducible.
