Doubts about two SCOs establishment

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CC2564C

Hello,

Some features are considered to do to make use of two SCO at the same time, expect your answer for below confusing points.

1. HCI_VS_Write_CODEC_Config command is sent for first established SCO. Whether it is necessary(or should not be) that re-send this command when second SCO is established?

2. The chip does not support  two msbc SCOs at the same time. What will happen after one msbc SCO channel established if I want to establish the second SCO(HCI_VS_Write_CODEC_Config with 16K sample rate)?

Does the second SCO work normally? Will the second SCO affect the first one?

3. The first established SCO assigns PCM channel 0 and the second SCO assigns PCM channel 1. Release first SCO, will the second SCO still occupy PCM channel 1 or revert to channel 0?

What is the relationship when the channel 0&1 bind SCO in different user case?

Thanks.

  • Hi Peijie,

Could you please share which device(part number) are you referring to?

    Best regards,

  • Hi, Vihang,

    The device is CC2564C.

The CODEC parameters between the two SCO connections must be identical. So you do not need to resend the HCI_VS_Write_CODEC_Config command for the second SCO.

The chip does not support one msbc (WBS) and one CVSD (NBS) connection simultaneously either. Both SCO connections must be NBS, 8kHz sample rate. Any other combination will not work for either of the streams.

If only the first SCO is disconnected from the dual-SCO, the second SCO connection will keep using the channel 1. When both SCO are disconnected, the assignment will start over for subsequent connections.
