Dear all

Does anybody know a possibility to configuring some values in the CC2541 SensorTag "Development Kit" Revision1.4.0:

Set the SensorTag automatically from standby-state into advertising-state (not to push each 30 Seconds the side button) I would like the SensorTag is continuously advertising. (Or looping between standby-and advertising- state without user-interaction)
Configuring the advertising interval (Bluetooth LE standard defines, 20 ms to 10.24 seconds for the advertising interval). (e.g the SensorTag advertises every 3 Seconds)

How can I change those Settings? Is there a configuration Software available?

I would also like this option, I want the sensor to advertise continuously with a configurable interval so I can use it for proximity purposes - e.g. place it in my car and have a raspberry pi at home detect car arrival or departure.

is it possible today, is TI planning to add this feature?

I'd also like to be able to do this. Is there a link or direction on how to edit the advertise interval / timeout of the sensortag?

change the code

uint8 initial_advertising_enable = FALSE; to TRUE in the file SensorTag.c at line 385

this will automatically turn on advertisement when power on

That can be edited from the BLE Stack software ?

This can be changed in the application level. Also download the BLE stack and have a look at the simpleBLEBroadcaster project to see how you create a simple broadcaster application.

Configuring the advertising interval

in file SensorTag.c:

// What is the advertising interval when device is discoverable (units of 625us, 160=100ms)
#define DEFAULT_ADVERTISING_INTERVAL 1600 // 1s

or 4800 for an interval of 3s

to GAP_ADTYPE_FLAGS_GENERAL //General indefinite discovery
