Hello ..

I am running SimpleBLEPeripheral code WITH serial interface (UART) from another controller . I have full control sending advertizing data from remote uController at the rate that I need ( 5s and 1min).. and cc2540 does advertise accordingly

The problem I have is i never see cc2540 go to sleep in between adv. I have enabled POWER_SAVING compiler option .. but I do not see it ever execute after all tasks complete.

My intention is to put cc2540 to sleep after each advertizing and have remote (via UART ) communication wake it up so that it can advertise again as commanded by remote uC.

Any suggestion please help . I am running on BATT and need to save power .

Zahid,

Thank you for that info . Do I understand correctly ... UART without handshaking interface ( Rx Tx ONLY) CAN NOT work with Power management ? My hardware does not support flow control what can I do ?

Hi Alex,

Yes, you need the extra signals for flow control to enable power management. You can switch to the CC2640, we are working on a protocol to enable power management without those extra RTS/CTS signals.
