Hi,

I want to send a data value from mobile app, to my CC2650 controller. I have created a service with a characteristics having read and write permission. i want to write a value to this characteristic via LightBlue App and see this value on the same app.how it can be possible. I could a value with another characteristic having notify proeprty whenever i pressed a key on keyboard. but this was done by using get/set functions. How can i write a value from mobile, and read that value ?? is there any example? can anyone please explain...its URGENT

What you want is exactly characteristic 1 in SBP. You can write to it from your phone and read what you wrote.

Hi,
Thank You for your reply. I could do that by referring Characteristics 1. Now i want to transfer some message(like commands and log data) from device to app and app to device. which example i have to reffer???

You have to modify the characteristic. ex: expand to an array in order to send more data. Try to modify the code one step at a time. Now it's 1 byte data in characteristic 1, then you can try to make it a 3 byte data read and write.

hi,
I have modified the code as given in your comment. I could write and Read value via characteristic.but the problem is, i cant give string as input, it always take only one letter as input.

If you manage to send 3 bytes, then at least it will take 3 letter as input. Try to expand your array to whatever size you want. A string is multiple sets of characters, so you can use the lookup table to send string.

Also you can take a look at simpleBLEPeripheral scanRspData[] array, it shows you how to send a string of the device name.
