Hi, i have developed an example test with Bluetooth Developer Studio and i have used TI plugin to create files to include in the SimpleBlePeripheral project. I have a lot of error when compile the project.

Now i have a doubt: is it possible to generate code for cc2541 through TI plugin for BluetoothDeveloperStudio?

Hi Marco,

As stated on the plugin page, the TI plugin is for SDKv2.1. I will see if this can be updated to make it more clear that it's for CC2640 only. There is no option to generate code that is 100% compatible with CC2541 / BLE SDK v1.4.x.

Hi Marco,

It should be possible. At least for 1.4.1. But we don't have a porting guide for 2.x --> 1.x so I can't really say. However the stack APIs are more or less the same for 1.x and 2.x

If you feel extra clever you can edit / make new service template files that fit 1.4.x , and add handling of them to the Plugin.js wherever 'service.c/h' are mentioned, or the symbols representing these files.

Is there a simple way to adapt 2.1.1 for cc2541 so to use TI plugin for Bluetooth Developer Studio?

Yes, there are lot differences between 1.4.1 and 2.1.1 ble stack. BLE Stack 2.1.1 is based on TI RTOS but BLE Stack 1.4.1 is not. There is no way to adapt BLE 2.1.1 for CC254x.

Will plugin be updated as soon as possible for 1.4.1 ble stack? Or wont it never be done?

There are currently no plans to support 1.4.1.
