Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BLE-STACK, ENERGIA
Hey Simplelinkers!
I'm super excited that TI has finally released a production version of CCS for OSX. I had been working on a VM on my Mac, but now I won't have too (or so I had hoped!).
This morning I sat down to install CCS natively on my Mac, and this process went very smoothly. Next, I downloaded the new version of the BLE stack and installed it using Wine before moving the packages into the /Applications/ti directory. After restarting CCS, it found all of the packages successfully. Awesome!
I imported the stock sensortag and stack examples and then modified the paths as directed in the wiki. At this point, it's trying to build but having trouble. The example is having trouble finding the xs executable while the stack is having trouble with boundary.
Example:
TOOLS/subdir_rules.mk:7: recipe for target 'configPkg/linker.cmd' failed
/bin/sh: /Applications/ti/xdctools_3_31_01_33_core/xs: No such file or directory
Stack:
/bin/sh: C:\Program Files (x86)\Texas Instruments\Boundary\Boundary.exe: command not found
Given what I read, I expected to have a problem with boundary, but haven't seen anyone with the xs issue. I've checked the path and xs.exe is present, but I assume its a Winblows only version. Am I on the right track?
I know you already know this, but OOBE on CC26xx w/OSX needs some work...
Do we have any ideas on when a tested BLE-Stack installer will be available for OSX? I'd be happy to beta and provide feedback. You've got a real opportunity to be the first TI product line to have good OSX support! Don't let Robert one-up you with Energia! :-P
Best,
Trey
