Hi i am using cc2650, with xds110 device debug board. I got "ERROR - 241 @0x0, router subpath can not be accessed " error on ubuntu, but when i tried to program the flash on windows using TI Smart RF Flash programmer i got an error as "Dev Debug interface is locked" only Mass Flash erase is possible. How so ever i did mass flash erase, but even after doing that i am unable to erase, program my cc2650 .

Hello Puneet,

It's possible you may have inadvertently configured the CCFG to disable JTAG and/or mass erase. In that case, you will need to replace the CC2650.
Note that the mass erase is a one way operation; there is no confirmation that the device actually erased when running the mass erase cmd.

Hi, I am sure about this that i didn't disabled any of the configuration in the CCFG file. Isn't there any other way to recover the CC2650 from the unresponsive state.?

Hello Puneet,

Did you program any custom code to your board? We have seen others who inadvertently write to flash thus causing the device to disable external JTAG access.

No, I didn't. In-fact this was a simple code to blink LED, i found this example from one of the TI document. I didn't did any mishandling with the hardware, or the source code but the device went in an unresponsive state and now it seems that it won't respond again.

Which development kit are you using? Also, can you describe your PC setup? Is this running Windows natively or under VM?

I am using CC2650STK with xds110 USB dev debug board. The PC is running windows 10 and i have installed Ubuntu 14.04 under VM. I am using CCS uniflash 3.4 in linux to program the on-chip flash memory and for reference i am having SmartRF flash programmer 2 ver 1.7.4 in windows.

Can you post your screen shot of the SmartRF Flash Programmer v2 on Windows with the error in the log file area?

I encountered the same problem.
What type of file format did you use (bin, hex, elf) ?
I used .elf together with UniFlash and saw some error messages during flashing about writing to wrong memory areas ...
After that the device was inaccessible. Maybe the Uniflash tool can't handle .elf files in a proper way.
Nevertheless the "size" tools reported proper address assignment.

I used .bin on Windows with Smart RF flash programmer 2 and .elf on Linux with Uniflash 3.4.

Did you use both tools on the same cc2650 ?

Which tool was the first one ?

Or did you use each tool an own cc2650, are both now cc's now inaccessible ?

I used Uniflash 4 (Beta) on Windows 10 with an example of the contiki cc26xx stuff.

What is the version of your xds110 debugger firmware ?

(use the emulation software package tool: C:\ti\ccs_base\common\uscif\xds110>xdsdfu.exe -e)

Nevertheless upgrade to the latest version(s) did not help in my case,

the device seems to be permanently damaged ...

I used two different cc2650, first one was on Linux and it got bricked at the time of flashing .elf file .
After that I used another cc2650 on windows and its giving this as the size of binary is bigger then the flash size. But this time i was lucky that my 2nd cc2650 didn't get bricked. Howsoever i can't access 1st cc2650.
