cc2650: SmartRF Studio doesn't connect to SensorTag via DevPack (XDS110)

Which SmartRF Studio version do you use?

I just test my CC2650STK-CC-DEVPACK-DEBUUGER with SmartRF Studio 7 version 2.6.0 and it works fine. When you connect your CC2650STK-CC-DEVPACK-DEBUUGER with SmartRF Studio 7 version 2.6.0, does it show "Firmware Update Required"? If yes, you should double click on it to update FW of CC-DEVPACK-DEBUUGER to make it work.

It doesn't say Firmware update required. The DevPack firmware was already updated when I used it recently with CCS instead.

Instead of the "Firmware update required" it says "CC2650_ble". That tells me that it detected the sensorTag properly. But when I double click that, it asks me the mode (Ble or ...14; I chose ble), and then displays the error message in red as in my original post.

I notice that when I double click, the red led on DevPack flickers for a while for a few secs and then I get that message.

Another thing I should mention is that my Windows 10 OS is running on virtual machine on my Mac. CCS works fine in VM though. It is just SmartRF Studio which seems to have problems.

Anything else I can try?

Do you have other tool like Flash Programmer 2 or CCS open at the same time? If so, please close them to test again.

I don't have any other tool open. I will restart Windows to see if that helps. I will post back in few minutes.

Well, no luck ever after the restart; same message. I am running out of options. Anything else that may be wrong? Any other data/info I can collect?

I tried on another desktop (native Windows machine). I can now open the device control panel. May be the issue was related to virtual machine.
