CC2650: 3.3 volts DC-DC internal regulator

Part Number: CC2650

Hi,

I have designed a custom board based on CC2650. I have a DC-DC voltage regulator supply CC2650 input voltage, VDDS_DCDC pin, with 3.3 voltage. At the begining the voltage of DCDC_SW pin was 1.67 that is OK. I can program and everything is OK. But after few days using now the DCDC_SW pin shows 3.3v. Still I can program the board but I don't know why the internal DC-DC regulator doesn't work properly to bring the voltage down to 1.67v as it supposed to.

Do you think if the module is broken?

Thanks.

  • Asad,

I think this is state related, the chip now has software on it that brings it in and out of sleep.

Have you tried to compare your findings between your custom board and a TI launchPAD to ensure they behave the same? Before you measure, please perform a bulk erase on the flash to make sure the devices are in the same state.

    Regards,
