CCS/CC2640R2F: How to know whether the status of data transmission between Host_test device and Project_zero device

Hi,

I have built a connection between one LAUNCHXL-CC2640R2 running Host_test and another one running Project_zero based on BLE4.2 using BTool.

How to know whether these two devices are exchanging data each other and whether the data transmission is constant? What methods or tools should I use?

I am going to measure the power consumption of the device running Host_test. I am not sure whether this method can meet the requirement of measuring power consumption.

Try to refer to BTool user guide at dev.ti.com/.../index.html . Why do you want to measure power of HostTest? It acts as BLE central and would consume lots of power. I suppose you should measure BLE peripheral power consumption instead of BLE central.

Thanks for your quick reply and guidance!
I am going to measure the power consumption of both central device and peripheral device to compare the difference between them.
I am still puzzled about how to know whether the data is transmitting constantly. Should I judge it by reading some values in characteristic read?

You can follow the instructions in "Creating a Connection Between the CC2640R2F LaunchPad and a Peripheral Device" section of dev.ti.com/.../index.html and it would connect to your LAUNCHXL-Cc2640R2F.
