Hi,

we are using the SPP_Server_OAD_onChip project with our designed CC2640R2F_5XD board. SDK version 1.35.0.33

teh board was fixed with 29 bytes of advertisement data, advertising interval of 100ms, TX power 5 dBm, advertising at 3 channels.

cryztal was ON for 5 ms. we enabled POWER_SAVING in predefined symbol.

CR2032 battery was used here.

the battery was drained from 100% to 70% in 3 days and stopped

Peripheral(SPP_server) was not connected to central(SPP_client) during this time. Board was only on 100 % advertisement state during this 3 days.

but the TI calculator shows 41 days of life with above configuration parameters.

Please suggest a solution to solve our mistake to achieve the 40 days life.

Hi,

On your board, are you measuring the current only for the CC2640 device, can you confirm in your power analyzer the device is going into standby mode in between advertisements with standby current of about 1uA.

HI,

yes the board is going to standby in between each advertising interval of 100 ms

we measured the the current at active and standby time

At active time the peak current was 9.5 mA.

At standby it was between 1-2 uA.

That sounds about right. Is it going to standby when it is supposed to, i.e. when it is not processing tasks or doing radio operations.
