ZStack Linux Gateway vs MSP430 ZAP/ZNP Code

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CC2530, CC2531, Z-STACK

We are developing a Zigbee Pro based HA system based on RPi and CC2530. We are using ZAP/ZAP architecture to create a ZC (Zigbee controller) using a Arm based non-BBB Linux board. We have currently selected RPi.

Based on - architecture, time-to-market, long term products support which one is a better option?

  1. Zigbee Linux Gateway
  2. Port of MSP430 ZAP code to Linux non-BBB Arm board.

We need to support OTA, ZC functionality with 3rd party ZR and proprietary ZED device with a private profile.

Issue with 1 is porting and supporting gateway code to Raspberry Pi. Issue with 2 one time porting but using OSAL/HAL like API i.e. non-Linux like interfaces.

We would like to hear from people with experience with one or both of above ZAP/ZNP architectures. Also would appreciate experience with porting Zigbee Linux Gateway to another Linux platform.
