CC2640 - How to turn of scan response on peripheral

Hello,

Is it possible to disable scan response data on the peripheral? On boot we have the peripheral advertising with scan response data. During run time we may want to disable the scan response data. How could this be accomplished?

No, it is not possible to disable scan responses on slave. You can choose to not set the scan response data or set them to 0's. On the central side, you can choose to passive scan which will not request scan response packets from the peripheral.

Alternatively you can do non-connectable undirected advertisments (ADV_NONCONN_IND) ("beacons") which are not connectable nor scannable.

Is it possible to *not* wait for scan requests, and still be connectable?
I would like to save power and avoid the Rx transition and wait periods, waiting for scan requests.
However, I haven't found the option to do that.
Is it because the same Rx period used for waiting for scan requests is also used to listen for connection requests?

You can find the some training material for advertising and scanning in the link below. You can use non-connectable advertising to skip the RX.
