Hello,

I have an installation problem with the cc3100:

CC3100 SimpleLink™ Wi-Fi® and IoT Solution Getting Started Guide

(filename: swru375.pdf)

System: Window7, 32 bit,

I have an installation problem with the driver: until “USB Serial Port” is everything ok

Then it did not found the driver to change the

“USB Serial Port”

to the

COM/LPT -Port

In swru375.pdf everything is perfect until figure 7 -

and then I have the driver problem: the driver was not fount.

There was no problem in the forum look like this (I don`t found one).

Is there someone who have an idea or a solution for my problem?

(I try new driver from FTDI – without success)

I'm seeing the exact same problem although I am using Windows XP.

I have tried everything from uninstalling to changing to another computer and using the official FTDI installer but nothing seem to work.

Ideas anyone ?

I have the same problem - messages below (the CC3200 board is powered by the provided cable, the board is running):

My system is Vista.

Hi,

I succeeded to install the drivers - I used the drivers found in CC3200-sdk.

I have also installed the drivers found at CC3200-sdk. But, after that I have a "USB Serial Port" not setup at Device Manager. See below. Did you also encounter this problem? I have not change any jumpers at the CC3200 Launchpad.

I have already solved the problem. The drivers for the USB Serial Port can are found at CC3200-sdk.

driver problem

on win 32 bit systems it can happens that the driver are not on the system or are not found.
(figure 7 in the pdf: swru375.pdf)

solution:

installation from the cc3200sdk - see file in this directory or load a new one! (here you can find the driver:)

take this address for the driver position (similar to earlier installation, you have to change the directory name ones)
C:\ti\CC3200SDK\cc3200-sdk\tools\ftdi
it seems to be that the fdti-driver is loosing

After this it should be that everything is ok - ok, now software, :-).

I also have this problem. I am running Windows XP. I can see the drivers in the SDK folder tools but the USB drivers will not install. I have CC31XXENMUBoost rev 3.0 with CC3100Boost Rev 3.3. the eeprom has <USB_String_Descriptors>
<Manufacturer>TI</Manufacturer>
<Product_Description>CC3100-BOOST</Product_Description>

any Advice please.
