Problems debugging CC3200 board in CCS.

Hi,

I'm trying to set up my CC3200 board according to the instructions here:

When I try to debug in CCS, I get the following error output:

Cortex_M4_0: GEL Output:
Memory Map Initialization Complete
Cortex_M4_0: Error connecting to the target

In the guide in step 2.3 Install USB Driver, I noticed the following:

When I updated the driver for the first of the two listed
"USB <-> JTAG/SWD" devices, they both disappeared and were
replaced with two devices
"CC3200LP JTAG Port A" and "CC3200LP UART Port B"

For step 7
Repeat the same steps for the instance of “USB Serial Port” that should have appeared as shown in
device manager

-> No USB Serial Port appeared, and it looks like the device does not have a serial port
assigned at all.

The getting started guide works for me. Provide more detail what part of the Guide, you are having problems.

Thanks for the response. I am on the last step for CCS, section 3.1.3 step 16 of the getting started guide. Everything else has worked as described in the guide, but when I go to debug WLAN_Station I get:

Cortex_M4_0: GEL Output:
Memory Map Initialization Complete
Cortex_M4_0: Error connecting to the target

The jumpers are placed as described in the guide.

Hi Peter,

Post a picture of your device manager, showing the connections to your CC3200 Launchpad.

After the CCS update I just did, now the error changed to "No device driver was specified for Corter_M4_0".

Your drivers are installed for CC3200. I have tried the wlan station example program using the guide without problems and also other example programs.

Hopefully a TI engineer will help you soon.

Hi Peter,

Looks like CC3200 device support package is not installed in your CCS. Can you check below thread and try re installing CCS with CC3200 device support package.
