Does task need 16K stack? As OSI_STACK_SIZE defined stack size for individual task not for entire program(system stack).

You are correct, the task doesn't require 16K stack.

I read in one of the posts that increasing the stack size solved the problem, hence i increased it !!

Where exactly should i look for my problem now ??

Yes, i ran the uart_demo application and the interrupt application(toggled I/O pins) from the Serial Flash as well as downloaded and debugged them from IAR workbench.
They worked fine with my hardware.

Even the httpserver application runs till osi_start() function, but thereafter i get the errors. (I put a breakpoint at the osi_start() function to verify this).

Can you confirm the status of the SOP pins. They should be 000.
What JTAG debugger are you using ? Can you try with using the debugger from the TI Launchpad itself?
If your application for WLAN Station working fine if you flash it to the serial-flash

Thank you for replying.

1) While programming, i connect the SOP2 jumper. After programming the serial flash, i remove the SOP2 jumper.
So, as you said, the status of SOP is 000 while the code runs from serial flash.

2) I am using the JTAG debugger from the CC3200 LaunchXL TI launchpad only. I have double-checked the connections and they are ok.

3) No, the application doesn't run from serial flash either.

I am using the CC3200R1M2 chip in my prototype.
Please tell me how much should i set my stack and heap size to ??
1) define block HEAP with alignment = 8, size = 0x00008000 { };
2)define block CSTACK with alignment = 8, size = 0x800 { section .stack };

Is there anything else i need to change in cc3200.icf file ??

Actually i had some questions:-

1)The SWRU369A says "The CC3200 solution combines a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi PHY/MAC and TCP/IP
networking engine with a microcontroller, up to 256kB on-chip RAM (In XCC3200HZ and XCC3101GZ
devices, only 176kb of RAM is available for applications) and a comprehensive range of peripherals."

What is the rest 80kb used for in the case of XCC3200HZ ??
Will there be any difference if i use the examples from CC3200 SDK with CC3200R1M2 chip for my dedicated application ??

2)The serial flash on the CC3200 LaunchXL launchpad comes with TI images and data which is not accessible to the user.

In that case, if i use a serial flash bought from the vendor, will it have the TI images and data ??
Will it work in my prototype ??

3)Does the NWP require a higher supply than 3.3V??
