Time base tolerance and warm up time of the transmitter and receiver (CC1101)

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CC1101

Dear Friends

I have to do power analysis of RF protocol implemented in TI ez430 watch (having MSP430F6137  microcontroller  with CC1101 RF module).  In ez430 watch RF module CC1101 is sourced by 26MHz crystal.

While doing power analysis, I need time base tolerance and warm up time of the transmitter and receiver. So, I will be grateful to you if you tell me from where I can get these values for CC1101 module. Kindly inform me if you require any other information from me.

Thanks and Regards

  • A basic question: What is time based tolerance?

Warm-up time: The time before you can start communicating with the chip is set by the crystal start-up time, see typical time in the datasheet for IDLE to RX/TX transition time.

  • Hi

Thanks for answering Warm-up time. I am not sure but I think  time based tolerance is crystal tolerance in time domain. After I read eZ430 User Guide (slau292c) I have seen that crystal tolerance in 10ppm.

    Thanks for reply
