CC1310 Frequency Supported Bands

Genius 5960 points
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CC1310

Hi,

CC1310 Silicon Errata(SWRZ062) 4page has the following description.

===================================

The supported frequency bands at product release are 863 MHz to 876 MHz
and 902 MHz to 928 MHz. Support for the 315-, 433-, 470-, 500-, and 779-MHz
frequency bands will be added to the CC1310 at a later time.

===================================

When is a support schedule of 315-, 433-, 470-, 500-, and 779-MHz?

  • All the different dividers are currently being characterized. That is, we check that the VCO / PLL covers the frequency ranges in the data sheet; 315-, 433-, 470-, 500-, and 779-MHz.

    The current plan is to complete a full characterization @433 in the May-June time-frame. There are no plans to do a full characterization at the other frequencies, except for characterizing the VCO / PLL across all the bands.

    For 315 MHz operation you can use the 433 MHz reference design. The harmonics should be measured and the LC filter potentially needs to be re-tuned to lower harmonics. Performance figures will be similar to 433 MHz operation.

    For 470-510 MHz we already have a reference design with a discrete PA to boost up the output power. See http://www.ti.com/lit/swra490 for more details.

    For 790 MHz operation you can use the 868/915 MHz reference design. The harmonics should be measured and the LC filter potentially needs to be re-tuned to lower harmonics. Performance figures will be similar to 868/915 MHz operation.
  • Hi, Sverre.

    Thank you for reply.

    If full characterization completes it.
    Is an application note released?

  • All the frequencies you listed will be in the data sheet after the VCO/PLL calibration. We will thus guarantee operation at all the frequencies. My point is that we will not do a full characterization (e.g. sensitivity, output power) for all frequencies.
  • Hi, Sverre.

    OK. Thank you.
