Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CC1200
Hello,
We're trying to determine some performance differences between a TrxEB board with a cc1200 card and custom hardware.
In receive mode, if RXOFF_MODE is set to go into IDLE does SmartRF then command the radio to go into RX after receiving each packet? What are the actual commands going from SmartRF to cc1200?
To maximize throughput we configured RXOFF_MODE and TXOFF_MODE to enter FSTXON instead of IDLE. Would this mean we're calibrating between every packet if FS_AUTOCAL=01b or 10b? The documentation makes it seem like calibration will only happen on a transition to or from IDLE but I don't know if by exiting to FSTXON we're meeting that condition.
Is there any source available that describes how SmartRF manages the cc1200 at the command level? I'd like to compare the command flow used by SmartRF against our own to determine if any improvements could be made.
Thanks,
Juan
