Hey,

I am developing a low power, battery based, application with the CC1310 MCU.

I want to measure the power consumption during different phases of the application.

I reviewed the "XDS110 Debug Probe User's Guide" (Link: www.ti.com/.../sprui94.pdf) and in section 3.6.2.2 (Device Support) it's mention that CC1310 is supported by the EnergyTrace tool.

I also reviewed the "table summarizes what is supported with EnergyTrace™ technology" in the EnergyTrace page (Link:www.ti.com/.../energytrace and there is no mention of supporting the CC1310.

My question is very simple, does the EnergyTrace tool support in CC1310 MCU power analysis with the XDS 110 debug probe? if so, what is the accuracy?

Hello Amit,

If you want to measure the power consumption for your CC1310 application you will need a XDS110 Debug Probe (www.ti.com/.../TMDSEMU110-U) with the EnergyTrace HDR add-on (www.ti.com/.../TMDSEMU110-ETH). The accuracy is presented in table 2 here: www.ti.com/.../spruie1a.pdf

Note that EnergyTrace+/++ is not available on CC1310, so you can not correlate the program counter and peripheral states with the energy profile.
