There is no EVM for TRF7962A.

Instead of TRF 7962 A, we will take TRF 7960 ATB.

So we consider MSP-EXP430F5438 as acommpany board.

Is it reasonable?

Are there any difficuty when the firmware would be ported to TRF7062A?

Please see Section 1.3 for recommended evaluation methods for the TRF7962A: www.ti.com/.../sloa248

We do not have any current firmware that is supported for the MSP-EXP430F5438 so I would not recommend that platform.

Hello na na,

Yes, that is what I would recommend. Do initial evaluation with the TRF7970A to ensure that the device will suit your needs, and if needed you can chip swap the 70A with the 62A to finish developing your application on TI hardware. The SLOC297 firmware can run for both the 70A and 62A as long as you change the #define for TRF79xxA_VERSION in trf79xxa.h to either '70' to '60' depending on the version used.
