Hi there,

I am using RI-ACC-ADR2-10 to test an RFID based on TMS37157, the PC software is PaLFI Demo GUI, it can read the page successfully, but cannot charge the RFID? any idea?

The date on the RI-ACC-ADR2-10 board is "Jul 8, 2011". We had a old version one, it can do all operations.

Hello Shilong,

I will check with the product team but I think the RI-ACC-ADR2-10 wouldn't support the charge command and rather you'd need the MRD2EVM to do that.

EDIT: Sorry, my colleague came back and realized that he was mistaken, we are going to check the Charge command with the PaLFI Demo GUI and TMS37157 now.

Hi Ralph,

Some update from my side as well. I did some tests, I think the reason for this issue is the mismatch between the firmware and RaLFI Demo GUI. Becasue the very old (2009) reader can do all the commands, including charging, so I found a version of firmware (Nov 2008), and downgraded the new reader to this version, it works. It looks like the new version firmware changed the protocol for charging command. Just for your information.

Hello Shilong,

I confirmed the above comments with my colleague, thanks for mentioning that. He made the same observations. The issue is that the command is issued in the new firmware, but the subcarrier isn't left on as required. The older version doesn't have that behavior.
