TRF7970A: How to adjust Antenna Gain

Looking to find out how to change antenna power gain.

Currently using a TRF7970A based controlled from DLP design, using the SLOC301 evm GUI, I noticed the options for Full Power and Half Power.

Would like to find out if there were other options for even lower power.  I am currently in the process of getting radio compliance for Japan and failing the emissions for 13.56Mhz since the full power setting is 6dB over allowable.

    Hello Tony,

    Power can be lowered either by that setting, reducing the input voltage (so run at 3V and not 5V) and minimizing the VDD_RF settings in Regulator Control Register (0x0B).

    However the TRF7970A in a well designed system shouldn't have such issues. You should investigate your system in detail. We have passed even European RED testing with the device and have customers who use the device in Japan, and in none of these cases we had to reduce the device output with half-power mode.
