RTOS/CC1310: Maximum SPI bitrate

Hi,

The CC1310 datasheet says that the maximum SPI bitrate is 4Mbps.

I am using the SPI to access a external flash memory, it is working but I need to access it a lot faster.

My product have a display which uses some bitmaps that are stored in the external flash. I am not able to achieve the needed display update frame because I am taking to long to get the bitmaps from the external memory.

My memory can be accessed at 100Mbps, but the CC1310 is capped at 4Mbps.

Is there a way to increase that bitrate?

When the SPI is configured as SPI master, the maximum bit rate is 12MHz. Please see

Sure 12MHz is better than 4MHz, but I still would like to go a little faster.

Is there a example of how to use the SSI.h driverlib in the TI-RTOS? (Mostly how to set the peripheral power).

Where can I find examples of how to configure the peripheral before using it?

I am still trying to get it working. I did not understand how to setup the peripheral before using it.

Hi

Unfortunately we do not have any such code examples as we recommend using the driver for this. I know that before using the SSI you need to enable power (PRCMPowerDomainOn) to the serial domain (PRCM_DOMAIN_SERIAL) and also enable the SSI peripheral (PRCMPeripheralRunEnable).
Not sure how this all works together if you are using the power driver in your application.
